Controlling your thoughts

This week on Unpacked, Pastor Evan discusses controlling our thoughts. Evan share a bit about how we have control over the kind of thought environment we create in our minds. And how the beliefs you choose to follow and challenge have a significant impact on your feelings. Using the book “Why Emotions Matter” by Tristen and Jonathan Collins (linked below) we unpack the four ways they discuss how we can influence our thought life to improve mental health. We jump into how discovering hidden beliefs, your inner critic and understanding our motives (the enneagram is a tool to help with this one) allows us to discover our blind spots. With the help community and God we move toward healing.

Unpacked is a series of interviews and conversations with spiritual directors, counsellors, storytelling average humans learning about self-care and their experiences of being human. It explores soul care and the strength that comes from big messy failures and vulnerable moments that help us on the journey of living authentically. Leave us a review on apple podcasts!
