Never too late to start over at age 50 and overcoming pain to find freedom with guest Karen Bayley

This week on Unpacked we are chatting with guest Karen Bayley, counsellor, pastor and spiritual director. We chat with Karen about the lessons she has learned in her life as a survivor of sexual abuse, divorce, and going back to school to start her counselling practice at age 50. Karen shares how with the help of good friends, a trusted counsellor and her faith she worked through denial and years of pain to find healing.  She shares how the tool of the enneagram has been important to her own self awareness work, and the growth of her clients. Karen helps her clients to be brave and do the work so they can find freedom in remembering what happened, but you won't feel the pain anymore.

Unpacked is a podcast exploring life as messy people. It’s conversations with counsellors, leaders, storytellers discussing the experiences of being human. We talk about the strength that comes from big messy failures and vulnerable moments so we can learn to live more authentically. Subscribe and leave us a review!
