Processing a child's medical illness, finding hope and navigating acceptance with guest Tanis Mitchell

This week on Unpacked are chatting with guest Tanis Mitchell, Grief Coach and Certified Life Coach. Tanis is an advocate for the medical parent community and works to help families navigate grief and trauma surrounding illness. Tanis shares the extraordinary of her daughter surviving a rare multiple-organ transplant procedure and how their lives have changed after that. She shares the whole story from when Luka was 18 months to now, lessons she has learned about herself, grief and empowering her daughter to tell her own story. Tanis documented their family story on Instagram and we discuss the decision to share and what gifts it has given.  The experience was so life-changing that it led to Tanis pursue a career in caring for families navigating medical trauma and illness. Follow her Instagram for more on the launch of her business!
