Processing our stories

This week on Unpacked, Pastor Evan discusses processing our stories. Evan shares a bit about how reflecting on our life and stories allows us to process and to process is to heal. Using the book “Why Emotions Matter” by Tristen and Jonathan Collins (linked below) we unpack experiencing having conflicting feelings at the same time or as the book calls it - ambivalence. How when we experience life both are a healthy and normal way of processing feelings. Evan talks about some of the pitfalls and freedom that come from processing our stories with the help community and God we move toward healing.

Unpacked is a series of interviews and conversations with spiritual directors, counsellors, storytelling average humans learning about self-care and their experiences of being human. It explores soul care and the strength that comes from big messy failures and vulnerable moments that help us on the journey of living authentically. Leave us a review on apple podcasts!
